Oop Forgot the CABIN

I guess you might want to see another picture of the whole thing....

For my sister

Welcome to the lifestyles of the northly cabin (well I couldn't say rich and famous now could I?)
I couldn't get the photos to load in the exact right order but you'll get the idea I think and I'll appease my elder sister.

First I have some examples of how the house is heated. A 200 gallon Greer tank. It has a small filter and a small copper pipe that runs to the monitor heater in the house.

These are examples of the piers that hold the whole house up. In the spring the house is going to get re-leveled.

The garage is doing well although the path to the house is a bit treacherous at the moment. Phin says, yeah whatever you had me fixed this week and I really don't care what you have to say right now.

That little pipe with the bumper sticker is where my water comes, I love water wagon. It's 8 cents a gallon, but hey they come right to your door...oh wait I guess that's how most people get their water....

turning white

just a quick pic of Phin's new cut and his ever-lightening face, his lighter ears are starting to show up too.

I promised my sister the next post would have pictures of the cabin-so I'll get to that soon.

We're Home!!!

Here's Phin modeling his new coat!! He's SO handsome in it.

Phinny came home all beautiful and poofy. He's happy to be home even if he is a bit tired. I felt bad because he wasn't going to get to play with the rest of the poodles, but it turns out his playmate for Christmas was a chocolate standard poodle. he had a great time.

combat cold

This sleepy pose is our current setting. After taking Phin to the office today to race and race and race, I finally wore out this exuberant puppy. Yippee!!!

I got Phin a
new coat today. We still have to deal with the static cling, and the straps around his belly are WAY too big, so I need to add some more velcro. Also, Phin has to give up the whirling dervish of trying to get it off.

Cold Puppy

Well Phin got shorn yesterday and now with the current cold snap (-5degrees) I have a very chilly puppy. But he does have a cute little beard and at least his fur grows quickly.

I think this snow might stick...

Well here are some new photos, including my new garage (minus the door-it's backordered). The rumor has it that this snow is going to stick. We've got about 5 inches and it's still snowing.

Phin is compeletly in love with the snow, he does the giant racing circles. Then of course he gets little snowballs on his feet so he starts chasing his feet. When he sat down to get the snowballs he got them on his tail...so the whirling dervish had great fun trying to catch the snow on his tail. It's hard to be a shaggy puppy. All in all though, it was a good day.

SNOW

The first explorations were somewhat hesitant...

But then we got down to business. (the lumber in the background was the early stages of the garage. I should point out we got this snow the day/night the concrete for the garage was laid. Those poor guys were out there until midnight making sure it set right.)

The snow was beautiful though...

What you have ALL been waiting for!!

Well finally-I have a wireless card and for 4 dollars I can get two hours of high speed internet at Barnes and Noble and actually update my blog. Photos and everything. I think my sister is close to popping. So Mom and Glenn have come and gone, my boss has come and gone, my CV was sent in, now I wait for a possible interview and new position. In the meantime I am really enjoying my work and the people I am working with. It is challenging, interesting and at this point, still one of the best decisions I have made. The house is beyond fabulous. At this point I love going to work every morning, but I love coming home even more.

This is the place, the property goes almost to the blue carport and house you can kind of see in the back ground.

As you can tell Phin is relaxing in his new environment quite nicely.

This is what I call the "listing picture" just mom's idea of listing and Glenn's idea of "listing"

Glenn of course just claims he was enjoying the view out the front window.

Mom and Glenn also got to witness the demon dog that occasionally resides in my bed, of course diagonally across the middle. Although the night before last he decided he didn't want to share anymore and has taken to sleeping on the couch in the living room.

Shortly after mom and Glenn left, as in the next night, we had our first snow (it's gone now) at my place it was 4.5 inches.

See photos in next blog....
