combat cold

This sleepy pose is our current setting. After taking Phin to the office today to race and race and race, I finally wore out this exuberant puppy. Yippee!!!

I got Phin a
new coat today. We still have to deal with the static cling, and the straps around his belly are WAY too big, so I need to add some more velcro. Also, Phin has to give up the whirling dervish of trying to get it off.

Cold Puppy

Well Phin got shorn yesterday and now with the current cold snap (-5degrees) I have a very chilly puppy. But he does have a cute little beard and at least his fur grows quickly.

I think this snow might stick...

Well here are some new photos, including my new garage (minus the door-it's backordered). The rumor has it that this snow is going to stick. We've got about 5 inches and it's still snowing.

Phin is compeletly in love with the snow, he does the giant racing circles. Then of course he gets little snowballs on his feet so he starts chasing his feet. When he sat down to get the snowballs he got them on his tail...so the whirling dervish had great fun trying to catch the snow on his tail. It's hard to be a shaggy puppy. All in all though, it was a good day.

SNOW

The first explorations were somewhat hesitant...

But then we got down to business. (the lumber in the background was the early stages of the garage. I should point out we got this snow the day/night the concrete for the garage was laid. Those poor guys were out there until midnight making sure it set right.)

The snow was beautiful though...

What you have ALL been waiting for!!

Well finally-I have a wireless card and for 4 dollars I can get two hours of high speed internet at Barnes and Noble and actually update my blog. Photos and everything. I think my sister is close to popping. So Mom and Glenn have come and gone, my boss has come and gone, my CV was sent in, now I wait for a possible interview and new position. In the meantime I am really enjoying my work and the people I am working with. It is challenging, interesting and at this point, still one of the best decisions I have made. The house is beyond fabulous. At this point I love going to work every morning, but I love coming home even more.

This is the place, the property goes almost to the blue carport and house you can kind of see in the back ground.

As you can tell Phin is relaxing in his new environment quite nicely.

This is what I call the "listing picture" just mom's idea of listing and Glenn's idea of "listing"

Glenn of course just claims he was enjoying the view out the front window.

Mom and Glenn also got to witness the demon dog that occasionally resides in my bed, of course diagonally across the middle. Although the night before last he decided he didn't want to share anymore and has taken to sleeping on the couch in the living room.

Shortly after mom and Glenn left, as in the next night, we had our first snow (it's gone now) at my place it was 4.5 inches.

See photos in next blog....

Hi All

Okay- Well sorry to disappoint but there are no new photos today yet. It's going to be a busy week too. Mom and Glenn get here tomorrow...I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Phin gets to meet the grandparents. Of course they have arrived just in time for a drop in temperature!

You'll notice however that I have added a link to my job website. Check it out, you'll get to see what I do, and where I do it. There are some interesting things on there.

Hope all is well with each and every one of you.

Okay Okay already-here's an update.

Well Phin and I do have a home, however the only picture I have of it, is while it was still in final stages of costruction. I took more but last night I tried out my new internet and it is only dial-up. Needless to say, it just didn't work, so I have a few more options and will keep trying.
In the meantime you all will have to make due with what I've got.
Phin is doing well although he is trying to recover from an ear infection...stupid groomers.

Phin's favorite spot is the lazy boy where he can watch the whole house and if he sits up he can see out the window. We also play a very fun game called 'race around the house' During which he grabs a stick and we run around the house over and over and over again. He does know he has to drop the stick at the door though. He's a very good boy. In fact yesterday was his first day with the run of the house while I was at work and he did pretty good. He only shredded a role of toilet paper. Sorry to those of you who I have been negligent in writing to. Just know that I am thinking about you, I just don't have the same kind of internet time I used to.

Take care-Meg

Phin

Well we are still trying to get into a house and I still have minimal computer access. However, I did want everyone to see how handsome the little Phin is getting. And he is the BEST behaved little puppy (thank goodness since I depending on the kindness of friends to house me at the moment.)

9 weeks

Hello all-Well Phin has had company for a few days, my friend Adam's dog came to visit while Adm was in the field. Phinney is totally enamored with her, she would prefer he leave her alone. Although Ebony has protected Phin against the slightly aggressive neighbor dogs. She wouldn't even let them look at Phin. Although it's a good thing I have big bed, or these two would have me sleeping on the floor.

Phin also had his first vet trip...very exciting.

We're doing good though, no accidents or anything....he is very taken with my leather sandles, of course these have already been chewed by Sophie, so he can't do too much more damage :)

Lazy Sunday

Well we seem to have gotten much more comfortable today. Phin loves his blue bed, takes his toys there and uses it as a base of operations.

Settling In

So everyone, the nerves are starting to pass and we've been playing with toys and took a little walk...AND pottied outside. Life is good.

Phin also really loves the blue bed. He's taken to getting in on his own now.

We are both very happy.

Phinny is HOME!!!

Well, we're home! It was a very exciting day. Phinny made it all the way to Arches before puking on Patricia. That's my boy!

Phin was very scared and wouldn't go potty all the way home. When we got home I walked him around for awhile and when we came inside he decided he had to go.

We've explored the house, Phin likes the bed. He was particularily fond of the monkey he found in the bed. Phin is still pretty nervous, but we've only been home an hour and a half right now.

And from one of the pictures you can tell that he has calmed down a bit and is taking a nap next to me while I get this post ready. I have to say he is definately a sprawling sleeper :)

I am so happy to have him home. He is just the sweetest. The self portrait was a bit difficult to take but it will do for the folks to see us both.

I'm ready

Well I think everything is ready. I'm only missing one little bundle of fluff....

Cowboy Poodle

Well I got some new pictures of Phinny's dad. Now that is a cowboy poodle (with his dad Lee).

Phinny at 7 weeks

This is Leslie holding the taken siblings, besides her Justa who isn't in the picture. Guess who looks like one of the bigger boys! Making sure he's front and center is my little Phin. although by the size of that paw and the size of the snout he isn't going to be small for long. (In case you don't know by now, Phinney is the second from the left with the silver nose... that's my boy.

Bummer today though, I found out I am going out to the field and will have to put off getting Phin for an extra week. I could commute to the project but it would make for really LONG days for the little man and that isn't fair...so barring unforseen problems I'll be getting him at 9 weeks. So two more weeks of anticipation...I can hardly stand it.

Getting to be a Big Boy!!

Today Phinny got himself a bath and shots. He is SOOO handsome. Leslie sent a video too of him looking around and giving kissies to the camera. That's my boy. He turns six weeks tomorrow...
